Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Products Explained: What's Releasing Nov 6 and Dec 4
The Pokémon TCG is turning 30, and its special 30th Celebration expansion has been rolling out in waves since September 16, 2026. The last two waves land on Friday, November 6 and Friday, December 4, 2026. Here's exactly what's in each product, how they compare, and how to choose. All contents come from Pokemon.com unless noted.
What is 30th Celebration?
30th Celebration is a special expansion, not a regular main set. According to Pokemon.com:
- Every booster pack has five foil cards plus one foil Basic Energy.
- Each pack includes one of 30 unique Pikachu illustrations.
- There's a Classic Collection of "cards of yesteryear," and some products include a dedicated Classic Collection booster pack.
Because it's a special set, the packs mostly come inside collections and boxes rather than as a big 36-pack booster box.

November 6 releases
Heads-up: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign also launches November 6, so this is one of the busiest release days of the year. (See our Delta Reign release guide.)
30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection: Day & Night
The flagship product, and the biggest box of the anniversary.
What's inside (per Pokemon.com):
- Pikachu ex plus Espeon ex (Day) or Umbreon ex (Night) promo cards
- 29 30th Celebration booster packs
- 1 30th Celebration Classic Collection booster pack, with three Classic Collection cards
- Playmat, card sleeves, deck box, and other accessories
Who it's for: collectors who want the most packs in one box, Eeveelution fans choosing between Espeon and Umbreon, and players who'll actually use the accessories.
Price note: we haven't found an MSRP confirmed by The Pokémon Company. Some outlets have published figures, but at least one was later corrected, so check the price at a first-party retailer.
30th Celebration Ditto Premium Collection
What's inside:
- A Ditto promo card
- A colorful acrylic display that can hold the Ditto promo or any favorite card
- 8 30th Celebration booster packs
Who it's for: people who want a display piece plus a solid number of packs, at a smaller size than the Ultra-Premium.
30th Celebration Figure Collection: Mew & Mewtwo
What's inside:
- A sculpted figure of Mew or Mewtwo (made by Kaiyodo, per Pokemon.com)
- A foil promo card and an oversize card of the same Pokémon
- 5 30th Celebration booster packs
Who it's for: figure collectors, Gen 1 fans, and gift buyers. You'll probably want both, but the packs-per-box count is the lowest of the November products.
December 4 releases
30th Celebration Binder Collection
What's inside (Pokemon.com):
- A 9-pocket binder with a design celebrating 30 years of Pokémon
- 5 30th Celebration booster packs
MSRP: $31.99, as reported by ICv2.
Who it's for: new collectors and kids starting their first binder. It's a natural place to store all those Pikachu variants.
30th Celebration ex Tins: Sylveon ex & Greninja ex
What's inside (ICv2 and retailer listings):
- A foil Sylveon ex or Greninja ex promo card
- 4 30th Celebration booster packs
- The collectible tin
Price not confirmed: ICv2 reported an MSRP of $21.99, while a GameStop listing shows $49.99, and The Pokémon Company hasn't published a price. Check a first-party retailer before you pay. At the time of writing, this tin has no product page in Pokemon.com's product gallery. Its date and contents come from ICv2 and retailer listings.
Don't mix these up: the 30th Celebration Pokémon ex Box (Sylveon ex & Greninja ex) came out on September 16 and is a different product. It has both a standard and an oversize promo plus four packs, in a box instead of a tin. Retailer listings for "Sylveon ex" can refer to either, so read the title carefully.
Side-by-side comparison
| Product | Date | 30th Celebration packs | Extras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ultra-Premium Collection (Day or Night) | Nov 6 | 29 (+1 Classic Collection pack) | Pikachu ex + Espeon/Umbreon ex promos, playmat, sleeves, deck box, accessories |
| Ditto Premium Collection | Nov 6 | 8 | Ditto promo, acrylic display |
| Figure Collection (Mew or Mewtwo) | Nov 6 | 5 | Figure, foil promo, oversize card |
| Binder Collection | Dec 4 | 5 | 9-pocket binder |
| ex Tin (Sylveon ex or Greninja ex) | Dec 4 | 4 | Foil promo, tin |
Which one should you buy?
If you mainly want packs
The Ultra-Premium Collection has by far the most packs, plus the only Classic Collection pack in this group. Compare its price per pack against the 30th Celebration Booster Bundle (six packs, out since Oct 2) before deciding.
If you want something to display
The Ditto Premium Collection (acrylic display) or the Figure Collection.
If you're buying a gift
For a new or younger collector, the Binder Collection is a great starter: storage plus packs. The ex Tins make easy stocking stuffers. Both come out December 4, three weeks before the holidays.
If you can only afford one thing on Nov 6
Decide before that morning. Between Delta Reign and three 30th Celebration products, expect busy sites and quick sell-outs. Restocks are never guaranteed, but popular products often come back in later waves.
Buying tips for both dates
- Know who's selling it. On Walmart.com, Target.com, and Amazon, look for items sold by the retailer, not marketplace sellers.
- Pokémon Center uses a virtual queue during busy launches. Keep the window open and don't refresh. Its 30th Celebration FAQ also says confirmation emails can take up to 48 hours during high traffic.
- Watch for fakes. Big-name anniversary products attract counterfeits and reseals. See How to Spot Fake or Resealed Pokémon Packs.
- General store strategy: How to Find Pokémon Cards in Stock.
Get restock alerts (free)
Free is live now; Pro and Founding open in a few days. Create a free PokePack Tracker account to watch up to 3 products. When one of our checks finds a watched product back in stock or open for pre-order, you get a Discord message with a direct link. Alerts are Discord-only for now (email is planned), checks run about every 30–35 minutes, and Free-plan alerts are delayed about 15 minutes more, so a hot item can sell out before your alert arrives. Nobody can guarantee a restock, and we don't either.
